The Golf Performance and Development Academy offers top-tier facilities, including a driving range, hitting area, and practice green. Under the expert guidance of Rob Van Velzen and his team of friendly professionals, the academy operates daily from 06:00 to 17:00, throughout both summer and winter seasons.
The academy provides a comprehensive range of instructional options, catering to both private individuals and groups. Lessons are meticulously designed to boost every aspect of your game, from increasing driving distance and enhancing skills on and around the green to improving course management abilities. Additionally, our golf pros will ensure your clubs are the perfect fit for your style and body type, and they’ll help you master golf rules and etiquette.
Whether you’re looking to sharpen your skills or gain confidence on the course, our lessons offer the instruction and support necessary to elevate your golf game.
The Ladies Golf Section at Benoni Country Club has thrived thanks to the commitment of its members and the leadership of dedicated Lady Captains and their committees. This section embraces players of all levels, from the Ladies Club Champion with a 1 Handicap to newcomers above 30 Handicap. Golf days are primarily on Tuesdays, with summer tee-offs at 7:30 AM and winter at 11:30 AM. The Thursday morning Ladies Coaching Clinic covers essentials like short game techniques and course management.
Key annual events include the Club Championships in March, the Sanlam Cancer Challenge in June, the chilly Winter Open in August, and the Ekurhuleni League, which our first League Team won in 2017. During the Christmas season, our annual golf day supports local children’s charities, showcasing our commitment to community involvement.
Led by Lady Captain Colleen Pike and the Ladies Committee, this section not only ensures smooth operations but also engages in fundraising that benefits the entire club. We warmly welcome all lady golfers to join us in this friendly and inclusive environment, where you can enjoy the beauty of our course and the camaraderie of fellow members.
While strict dress codes are generally outdated and not enforced at our Club, we do ask that both members and guests maintain a neat and presentable appearance at all times, even in casual attire. The Management and Committee retain the authority to determine the appropriateness of dress and ensure that standards are upheld.
